Job Description:
The Dermatology and Biologics-Regional Field Medical Associate
Director - West Coast or in-land as far as Mid-West (CA, WA, TX,
MO, WI)
The Regional Field Medical Associate Director, leads a team of MSLs
to advance Sun Pharma's medical strategy through external
scientific engagements with healthcare providers and managed care
accounts. As a part of the field medical team, the RFMAD will
report to the Head of Field Medical and assist with development and
execution of field medical strategy and tactical plans. They will
also ensure appropriate and compliant collaboration with
cross-functional partners within Sun.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruit and hire diverse, exceptional talent to enhance MSL team
capabilities. Foster an environment of collaboration, respect, and
trust to align with Sun values and behaviors.
Coach and guide MSLs to achieve therapeutic area strategy and
execute tactical plans through ongoing performance reviews,
territory planning, and field visits.
Maintain dermatology therapeutic area knowledge, including
treatment landscape, and managed markets trends to ensure team
delivers relevant, up-to-date information to HCPs, managed markets
constituents, and internal teams.
Work cross-functionally to understand evolving business needs and
support internal stakeholders.
Accountability for translating MSL analytics and customer feedback
to inform business and cross-functional stakeholders. Communicate
regional activities to Head of Field Medical and other leadership
team members.
Provide direction to MSLs on customer engagement plans, speaker
training, clinical trial support, managed markets presentations,
and project work.
Ensure MSLs have resources, tools, and training to attain field
medical objectives.
Identify and interact with thought leaders to uncover business
opportunities for Sun and to pair customer's unmet needs with
available resources.
Develops standards and harmonization across therapeutic areas for
MSL activities with Medical Affairs leadership.
Monitor and establish field medical team's compliance with all
applicable SUN Health Care Compliance SOPs and US regulations,
including recording external scientific engagements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Advanced scientific degree (Pharm.D., MD/DO, Ph.D.) in a relevant
health science or clinical discipline.
At least 5-8 years of pharmaceutical industry or relevant
experience.
Demonstrated leadership in field team management and/or
pharmaceutical industry related experience.
Strong communication, leadership and people management skills.
Ability to pivot and work in an ever-changing environment.
Excellent organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
US Medical Affairs and Field Medical experience, preferably in
dermatology
Solid understanding of Medical Strategy and Field Medical Territory
and Scientific Engagement Plans
Experience in Product Launch Development and Execution Plans
Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams
Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors,
including but not limited to geographical location and experience.
In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus
