Job Description:
Job Description Under the direction of Field Service personnel,
installs, tests, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and removes
electrical, mechanical, and /or hydraulic components and equipment.
May provide technical assistance to engineers for weapon system
design and development.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Field Service personnel with removing and overhauling
electrical, mechanical systems and equipment using government
authorized procedures.
- Assist in coordinating tests, or modifying a wide variety of
test equipment using authorized test procedures. Sets up and
operates equipment and records data.
- Applies conventional engineering practices to develop or
prepare schematics, parts lists, or make recommendations regarding
these items.
- Responds to Fleet emergency calls from customer and assigned
Field Service personnel and maintains an inventory of parts and
tooling for Field Service operations.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with
safety objectives and policies.Share responsibility of
self-development with immediate supervisor. Required Education,
Experience, & Skills
- High School Diploma/GED
- Two years vocational training to work with basic electrical,
mechanical, and hydraulic tools and instrumentation hardware.
- Two years of related experience on Weapon System equipment to
perform troubleshooting, assembly, disassembly, repair, and
operation of complex equipment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency with word processing, database management,
email, and calendar software. Preferred Education, Experience, &
Skills Relevant work experience in the Defense IndustryProficient
in all types of hand tools, shop tools, power tools, micrometers,
and depth gagesDetail understanding of system troubleshooting
techniques.Must be able to interpret and use all types of
engineering drawings and schematics. Physical Requirements:
- Required to sit, move about, and reach with hands and
arms.
- Frequently required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or
crawl.
- Required to lift up to 25 pounds. Pay InformationFull-Time
Salary Range: $45320 - $72490Please note: This range is based on
our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are
determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to:
business considerations, local market conditions, and internal
equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills,
